Good interpreters/written translators are always busy. To guarantee our workload and quality and to select and arrange interpreters/written translators, we suggest you make an appointment as early as possible to avoid the temporary appointment.

Q Provide all levels of interpreters related or background materials in advance?

An interpreter is a talent, but not a genius. We have met many real cases that some customers don’t understand interpretation and they think whatever they say can always be translated. Otherwise, they think we are not good enough. What’s more, some meetings are very professional, and we have to prepare the professional terminology and background knowledge. These materials can help the interpreter with their preparation. Even the best interpreters cannot guarantee the quality if they haven’t done preparation carefully in advance.

Q One simultaneous interpreter takes interpretation alone?

A

Simultaneous interpretation is a high strength of brain and physical work. Generally, each simultaneous interpreter must not continuously exceed 20-30 minutes, and thus 2-3 interpreters are needed to do alternative work to run the conference smoothly. This explains why one-hour conference needs two interpreters. Except under a very special circumstance, we generally do not recommend one interpreter.

Q High price for conference consecutive interpretation?

The difficulties of consecutive and simultaneous interpretation are at the same level. In actual operations, consecutive interpretations of many conferences are at a high level and have high requirements for the interpreters’ game experience and accuracy. Commonly, simultaneous interpreters take all consecutive interpretation, so the price is the same as the simultaneous.

Q Privately hire our interpreter/written translator?

Some customers think it’s cheaper if they skip a translation company and directly hire a personal interpreter/written translator.
